Aklan Vice
Governor Gabrielle Calizo-Quimpo denied the charges brought by the Sangguniang
Panlalawigan (SP) Member Rodson Mayor during his privilege speech.
In the
22nd SP Regular Session on Wednesday, July 2, Mayor accused the vice
governor of having the “betrayal of public trust” and violated the 30 days
period that the referrals of committee meetings / hearings, public hearings,
period of debates, amendments and other documents covered by the law of DILG
shall not be interrupted.
However,
it was also answered by the documents held by the vice governor as proof that she
does not violated any laws.
Meanwhile,
at some point of Mayor’s privilege speech, he wishes to expel Quimpo from her
position as province vice governor in order to restore the confidence of
Aklanon in the government.
Right now,
it was not sure if Mayor will file a case against the vice governor.
