The
Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) is now preparing for the super peak
season in the island.
Boracay
PNP Chief PSInspector Mark Evan Salvo said that the ‘’Regional Office cancelled
the leave of the Police in Boracay starting this December 15 to January 8 2015
to intensify security in the island of Boracay’’.
BTAC
will also have a 24-hour patrol on crime or robbery prone areas in Boracay.
Salvo
added that the police bicycles will be used in patrolling some remote parts of
the island to accelerate incident response.
The
Municipal Auxiliary Police (MAP) will be joining them for the implementation of
the ordinances in Boracay.
Meanwhile,
thousands of tourists are expected to visit the island of Boracay this December
to celebrate their Christmas and New Year.
