Malay Mayor John
Yap is glad with the private sector’s cooperation with the local government of
Malay.
In an exclusive
interview with Mayor Yap, he said, Boracay will never be in order if not for
the community’s concern for the betterment of the island.
Mr. Yap particularly
mentioned the participation of the stakeholders for the development of the
Boracay Police.
Recently, the
Taiwan Chamber of Commerce donated 150 pairs of shoes to the Police on bikes in
the island.
Aside from this,
the Mayor also confirmed that Commodore Leonard Tirol of the Boracay Action
Group donated a land at Baranggay Manoc-manoc where BTAC’s Training Center will
be constructed.
In line with
this, Yap believes that the force will be upgraded and their performance will
improve even more.
Meanwhile, the
Ceremonial Ground Breaking of the Boracay Tourist Police Training Center and
the Turn-over of Bicycle Patrols to BTAC was held yesterday.
It was attended
by the members of the LGU, stakeholders, and other important personalities.
