The pontoon was purchased by Caticlan Boracay Transportation
Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CBTMPC) is expected to be delivered by this month of
February.
According to Chairman CBTMPC Godofredo Sadiasa, they have
ordered the 200 sq meter pontoon which is currently being made.
Sadiasa stressed that he decided to buy the pontoon because
it is needed in Cagban Jetty Port during the Low Tide.
It was noted that some boats cannot duck on the ducking area,
a reason for the slow port operation.
Nonetheless, Sadiasa clarified that just a few days before the
arrival of the said pontoon, it is necessary for them to get permission from
the Aklan provincial government if they will be allowed to put it in the port.
Meanwhile, the widening of ramp in Cagban Jetty Port is
ongoing as part of the project of the Aklan Provincial Government and the
Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC).
