Written by Gloria Villas

The (Department of Labor and Employment) DOLE Aklan conferred advice on the Aetas that were allegedly being discriminated.

According to the DOLE, everyone does have the right and that if those persons perceive their physical appearance, they were told not to mind those, wherein what’s more important is the noble job that they have.

Furthermore it was said that more of the aetas are now capable and is working on some resorts and establishment in the Island, but leaving the job is their last option in order not to be discriminated.

DOLE added, the Aetas are permitted to inform the Commission on Human rights and the  National Comission on Indigeneous people (NCIP) once their human rights is being abused.

Meanwhile, the Aetas are still grateful for the support given by the concerned agencies and organizations in the Island.
