Tourists
from the cruise ship MS Superstar Gemini roamed the Island of Boracay on
Thursday, October 17.
According
to DOT Officer-In-Charge, Tim Ticar, wearing lei and native hats, the tourists walked
along the beach front and even on the main road of Stations 1, 2 and 3.
The cruise
ship arrived at three in the morning (3am), which was earlier than its
scheduled arrival of five in the morning (5am).
Meanwhile,
security was tightened at the jetty port, and the stationed agencies where the
tourists would pass, were on alert.
It was
learned that only some of the more than 1, 271 passengers and the 973 crew
members went down from the cruise ship to roam around, and walk on the white
sand of Boracay.
The
welcome for the visit of the MS Superstar Gemini from the provincial government
of Aklan and the LGU of Malay was joyful and colorful.
