Liaisons Officers train for Boracay APEC Summit 2015

LGU Malay has trained liaisons officers and support staff as part of APEC Summit 2015 liaison service in Boracay.

The liaisons officers for APEC Summit here this May 2015 will undergo more trainings to better prepare them for the event.

The delegation and liaison officers are tasked to help organize the APEC meetings as well as facilitate the needs of the guests.

Thus, the said training is to improve their communication skills along with more than 2,000 delegates from 21 countries who will be attending the Summit in Boracay.

These Liaison Officers include teachers, municipal employees and volunteers who undergo thorough interview before passing as liaison officers.

According to Malay APEC 2015 Task Group Focal Person and SB Member Rowen Aguirre, these are just some of their preparations for the upcoming APEC including security preparations.

Meanwhile, the training for the liaison officers was spearheaded by the Malay LGU in partnership with Boracay Redevelopment Task Force (BRTF) that is also preparing for the APEC 2015 in the island.
