The
Municipal Tourism Office (Mtour) Malay releases the list of various activities
for the three days celebration of 2015 Boracay Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan.
The
event will start this Friday with a Barangay, Parishioners and Tourism Front
Liners Night.
It
will be followed by a Kabataan’s Night on Saturday including the ‘Sad-Sad’, the
local term for street dancing or merry making, opening salvo and Hip Hop Dance
competition.
While
this coming Sunday January 11, 2015 the Boracay Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan will be
concluded by a fluvial parade, mass and ‘Sad-sad’ to be followed by the
awarding night.
Several
tribes from the island of Boracay will be joining the ‘Sad-sad’ to be held
along beach area from station 1 to station 3.
Meanwhile,
the island of Boracay is only one of the towns in the province of Aklan to
celebrate the Ati-atihan.
The
town of Kalibo which is the original and the first to celebrate the Ati-atihan will
be celebrating the festival which is also known as the "mother of all
festivals in the country", on the 3rd Sunday of January.
