Illegal drugs in Boracay, scrutinized by PNP

The Philippine National Police pays attention to the illegal drugs in the Island.

According to Aklan Provincial Office Public Information Officer PO3 Nida Gregas, this activity can’t be put off, but their trying give emphasize to this because Boracay is a tourist destination.

For now, the PNP, the Boracay Tourists Police, and the Government of Aklan are focusing on this matter and are trying to somehow eradicate this illegal activity.

Meanwhile, Gregas added that the 20 bicycles that were given to the Boracay Tourist Assistance Center are being used in areas that the patrol cars cannot reach.

The PNP also plans to re-enforce the BTAC.  

Earlier this Monday, the Boracay PNP and the Provincial Intelligence Branch Operatives in Barangay Balabag, conducted a buy bust operation that resulted to the arrest of 2 men.
