Written by Mackie Pajarillo

The Holy Rosary Parish Church in Boracay extends its message to its congregation in relation to the celebration of Boracay Ati-atihan 2014.

Father Nonoy Crisostomo, Team Ministry Moderator of the BHRP said that the few changes on the celebration echoed the island’s status.

A status where there are many tourists to whom we can show our culture as Filipinos and devotees of Sr. Sto. NiƱo.

This year, Fr. Crisostomo said that the activities are better coordinated with the Balabag Brgy. Council and the Malay Tourism Office.

This he said is for an enhanced and more joyful celebration of the feast of the Child Jesus in the island.
Moreover, Crisostomo said that this may not only be about drinking and merry making, but that people should remember that this is an expression of their faith.

He added that this celebration may be peaceful and meaningful for both local and foreign tourists.

Father Crisostomo wishes everyone a prosperous new year and that the Child Jesus shall be with everyone’s lives for more years to come.
