Some areas in Aklan will experience electric supply load shedding starting today until Monday, April 21.

Based on AKLECO’s advisory, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP)’s Panit-an Substation Transformer undergoes over loading because of the gradual restoration of electricity supply demand in the province, particularly of Boracay Island, which is also a part of their 138 kv transmission line restoration project.

In line with this a sudden power interruption is to be expected especially during night time where electricity demand is on the highest.

AKELCO however clarified, that the shedding schedule may  or may not push through depending on the NGCP’s allocation.

Meanwhile, the Boracay Substation is among those that will experience load shedding, including Altavas, Lezo, Madalag, Nabas, Kalibo and some parts of Antique.
