The Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) is now preparing for the super peak season in the island.
Boracay PNP Chief PSInspector Mark Evan Salvo said that the ‘’Regional Office cancelled the leave of the Police in Boracay starting this December 15 to January 8 2015 to intensify security in the island of Boracay’’.
BTAC will also have a 24-hour patrol on crime or robbery prone areas in Boracay.
Salvo added that the police bicycles will be used in patrolling some remote parts of the island to accelerate incident response.
The Municipal Auxiliary Police (MAP) will be joining them for the implementation of the ordinances in Boracay.
Meanwhile, thousands of tourists are expected to visit the island of Boracay this December to celebrate their Christmas and New Year.
