Boracay PNP said that they
do their best in order to suppress criminality on the island.
According to Boracay
Deputy Chief P/Insp. Fidel Gentallan, this is one of their mandates from Police
Integrated Patrol System (PIPS) higher headquarters to conduct and practice
check points and the so called “operation bakal.”
Gentallan added that the
said crime prevention activities are essential and also urged the support of
the community though asking for public understanding affected by their
checkpoints.
Meanwhile, he said that
they will continue the check points at night to obstruct criminalities on the
island.
On the other hand, this
last few days public on the island was surprised because of the consecutive
check points conducted by Boracay PNP.
