Obligations of the beach front establishments to put garbage bins in the long beach.

This was the reaction of Boracay Island Administrator Glenn Sacapaño about the concerns of tourists in finding a trash cans while walking on the beach front.

According to Sacapaño, there were 150 garbage bins that were being placed in the islands but some establishments do not watched for it.

He said, apparently some beach front establishments neglected the overflowing of waste, thus it also become an “eye sores” in the observation of other tourists.

In contrast, Sacapaño also said that there are tourists who just throw their garbage everywhere.

However, he admitted that carrying of food or drinks in the beach are prohibited but sometimes they just let some tourist due to their request as well.

Meanwhile, Sacapaño assures that they will put again a garbage bins after the Habagat season.

It was noted that there are a lot of tourist who sends their complaint and asked why there are no garbage bins in the beach front which according to them they also pay environmental fee.
