enhance the standard and quality of services of every tourism establishments in
a world-class level.
The
Department of Tourism (DOT) recently conducts an accreditation information
drive in Boracay Island.
In
this regard, DOT Boracay Tourism Sub-Office Assistant Leo Kristoffer Velete
shares the importance of accreditation to various establishments especially in Boracay.
Velete
stressed that, “Accreditation is one of the main engines of the department to
raise world-class standards on services, amenities and quality front liners.”
Meanwhile,
DOT also educates tourism establishments on the basic process of online accreditation
and informs them on the benefits and incentives of accreditation.
On
the other hand, DOT Region VI is one of the regions in the country that has the
most accreditable TOEs and TREs.
