A
century – old mango trees at the provincial hospital needs to be cut down for
development.
During
the 3oth SP Regular Session yesterday, Aklan Provincial Governor Joeben
Miraflores passed an urgent request to the provincial council that it needs to be
put on view for immediate actions.
Meanwhile,
a members of the council agreed that it will be initially deferred to the committee
of environmental protection.
However,
SP noted the letter that “trees should not be an obstacle to development and
thus, mango trees at the provincial hospital needs to be chopped by developers to
make way for new construction.”
