Diving schools in Boracay, to be investigated by the town council of Malay

Written by Jay-ar M. Arante

The alleged poor service of diving schools in the Island of Boracay will be put under investigation by the Town Council of Malay.

In the privilege hour during the Town Council session on Tuesday, September 24, Town Council Member Jupiter Gallenero said that he had received complaints about dive shops that use low quality engine refill oxygen compressor.

According to Gallenero, there is a bad effect to the body if low quality compressor is used in diving activity and the diver that uses the equipment will have difficulty in breathing.

It was also learned that diving shops only have compressors refilled, therefore, it is not certain that such compressors are safe to use.

Meanwhile, the Councilmen will call operators and officials of all diving schools of Boracay for a committee hearing on Monday, September 30.

A breathing air compressor system is used by divers in sea diving.
