BIWC installs additional “Water Free Drinking Fountain Unit” in Boracay

Free drinking water for all tourists’ and residents in the island of Boracay.

Additional “Water Free Drinking Fountain Unit” initiated by Boracay Island Water Company (BIWC) and Manila Water Foundation has been installed in the island, giving thirsty travelers the option to fill up their flasks, bottles or cups with chilled water.

The “Water Free Drinking Fountain Unit” worth Php 76, 526.00 have been set up in D’ Mall De Boracay, D’ Talipapa and Cagban jetty Port.

According to BIWC, this is also a pilot project between Boracay Water and Philippine Chamber of Commerce, which aims to ensure foreign tourist that Boracay Water, is supplying the island with a refreshing potable water 24/7.

BIWC added that, “it is free to all public especially those who are conducting island activities.”

Meanwhile, BIWC proudly explained that “the water passing though a dispenser-like mechanism will come out clean and cold keeping true to their promise of a high standard quality.”
