New AKELCO Head assumed office

Engineer Rogen Delos Reyes, assumed office and started his duty as the new Head of Aklan Electric Cooperative (AKELCO).

This was after the retirement of Engr. Chito Peralta this month of June after his more than six years of service as AKELCO’s General Manager.

According to AKELCO PIO Rence Oczon, Delos Reyes took office last Monday as the Head Management Committee assigned by the AKELCO Board of Directors.

Oczon said that AKELCO doesn’t have a General Manager for now because they are still waiting for the decision of National Electrification Administration (NEA).

She added that it is possible that Engr. Rogen Delos Reyes will be the General Manager of AKELCO these incoming days.

Meanwhile, Delos Reyes attended the Annual General Assembly (AGMA) to hear the grievance of consumers about the cooperative’s services.

For now, Rence added that Delos Reyes first will be handling all functions of AKELCO until the new general manager will be determined.
