Tired
but happy.
This
describes the reaction of more than 15 local journalists on September 17-19,
2014 who had a chance to escape a usual hectic day’s work and hop on a Familiarization
Tour to the serene and incredibly scenic of four tourist destination in Aklan.
In
this regard, Department of Tourism (DOT) Aklan also extends their sincere
gratitude for the support and cooperation of various groups in such activity.
Carina
Ruiz of DOT Aklan said, “The purpose of the tour is to get the media as partner
in promoting Madalag, Libacao, Ibajay and Malay as an ideal tourist destination
ahead of “Tourism Week Celebration.”
DOT
also takes different tour organizations and media representatives on a
familiarization tour hosted by Aklan Tourism Office in hopes to bring more
visitors from other places.
Part
of their itinerary includes visiting falls, culture park, and beaches.
Meanwhile, Philippine
Familiarization Tour (Fam Tour) is DOT’s biggest tourism promotion event.
