Almost 3, 000 children in Boracay, get vaccinated against Measles, Rubella and Oral Polio

More than 3, 000 children get vaccinated by the Municipal Health Office (MHO) Malay against Measles, Rubella and Oral Polio in the island of Boracay.

This was after the Department of Health (DOH) launched a nationwide Mass Immunization this month of September to protect children against measles.

MHO vaccinated 3, 617 children since the first day of September as of Wednesday in every barangay’s and sitio in Boracay Island.

Parents in the island brought their children aged nine months to 59 months to vaccinate for Measles Rubella (MR) vaccine, while Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) was given to the new born baby until 59 months of age.
