The Comelec declared Quezon Labindao as the Mayor of Buruanga.
However, many had expressed
disagreement on the declaration by the Comelec.
According to complaints received
by Yes FM 91.1, there was allegedly no truth to the declaration of the Comelec.
The camp of Atty. Daniel Cahilig,
allegedly, also could not accept that the incumbent Mayor was still the winner.
Nevertheless, in an interview
with Labindao, he said that the alleged protest related to his win was a defamation
move by his opponents.
According to Labindao, nothing else
could be done since he had been proclaimed by the Comelec, and that he was
counting on Comelec’s declaration and believed that he won in the election.
