DA, named 3 Aklan Agri-technologist as Best Extension Workers

The Department of Agriculture recognized 3 Agri-technologists from the province of Aklan.

Alice Rebuelta and Neniveh Ron of Kalibo and Dominador Rasco Jr. of Banga were awarded Outstanding Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs).

The AEW Award is one of the most prestigious awards given by the Department of Agriculture to employees who were exceptional in the mentioned field.

In line with this, Banga, Aklan, which is the province’s primary supplier of rice, was also dubbed as “DA’s Rice Achievers Awardee” for Western Visayas.

Aside from the award, the said municipality also received 1 million pesos from the agency.

Meanwhile, one of the awardees, Neniveh Ron said that the prize money will be used for the growth and development of rice plantations in Aklan.
