The Philippine Red Cross Boracay-Malay Chapter will be setting up four first aid stations in Boracay as preparations for the Holy Week.

According to Red Cross Boracay-Malay Chapter Safety Service Officer Christine Tejada, the stations will be distributed to major areas such as shopping  destinations like D’mall, the Cagban Jetty Port, Station 1, and the beach front.

Tejada said that they are conducting this annually to readily respond to the vacationers’ first aid needs.

The Safety Service Officer added that they will be assigning 2 nurses for each station together with their volunteers.

Meanwhile, the first aid stations will be on alert from 8am to 6pm starting next Monday, April 14 until the first week of May.

Some of the expected patients are those suffering from vertigo or lightheadedness, hypertension, body pains, and heat stroke brought about by the very warm weather.
