A Public Hearing on Base Market Values for Boracay and Malay will push through tomorrow.

This is after stakeholders in the mentioned area asked for another separate hearing regarding the matter.

With this, the Provincial Council or Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Aklan, through the request of Governor Florencio T. Miraflores, will conduct a public hearing in the island of Boracay tomorrow morning.

The said hearing is for the review and approval of the Revised Schedule of Base Market Values of real properties in Aklan, particularly on the real properties of Malay and special base valuation for Boracay and Caticlan which is within the proposed 2015 General Revision by the Provincial Assessor’s Office.

Meanwhile, the same public hearing has been conducted in different municipalities in Aklan to hear out opinions and concerns of tax payers in line with the passage of the new ordinance on tax payment.
