The first ever Mr. and Miss Teachers Fashionista held at the town of Malay on Sunday, April 27, 2014 was successful.
The event is part of the upcoming Municipal and Provincial Fiesta on May 1st 2014 and the veneration of their patron Saint, St. Joseph the Worker.
The mentioned event was called “Filipiniana Night” wherein all teachers of Malay were showcased. The female teachers wore their colorful and elegant Filipiniana gowns while the male teachers wore their attractive barongs.
The teachers who joined the Mr. and Ms. Teacher Fashionista astoundingly showed their unique skills and talents in modeling.
Named Mr. Teacher Fashionista 2014 was Mark Anthony Aparecio of Caticlan Elementary School, and Miss Teacher Fashionista was Abigail M. Calizo of Yapak Elementary School (ES).
Hailed as 2nd Runners-up were Mak Nickel D. Nabor of Balabag ES, and Luzel B. Morales of Manoc-manoc ES while, the 1st Runners-up were Regie Tranca of Yapak, ES and Rechie P. Sejane of Malay ES.
The special guest of honor was the new DepEd Aklan OIC Asst. School Division Superintendent Dr. Ernesto F. Cervilion Jr. MNSA.
On the other hand, Malay Public District Supervisor Jessie S. Flores thanked those who helped in their successful event and congratulated the winners and participants of the first Mr. and Ms. Teachers Fashionista 2014.
