The
Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) formed its Municipal Advisory Council
(MAC) on Monday, April 28.
After a
meeting, its members had their oath taking, Malay Municipal Local Government
Operations Officer Chief Mark Delos Reyes was voted as Chairman, and Hon. Town
Council Jupiter Aelred Gallenero as Vice Chairman.
The
following also showed their support as members of the council: Municipal
Tourism Operations Officer Chief Felix Delos Santos; Philippine Red
Cross-Boracay Administrator Marlo Schönenberger ; Boracay Foundation
Incorporated President Dionesio Salme; Yes FM and Easy Rock Stations Manager
Alan Palma Sr., Hugh Raddi Isagan of the Boracay Fire Rescue Ambulance
Volunteers (BFRAV) and Boracay Action Group (BAG); Island Administrator Mr
Glenn Sacapaño; Boracay Redevelopment Task Force Chief Mabel Bacani; Pastor
Angelo Panganiban of the Boracay Grace Baptist Church and this writer.
It can be
recalled that BTAC prepared the forming of advisory council in order to get
support from the members of the Local Government Unit (LGU), stakeholders,
legal counsel, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and private agencies.
The
council which was formed is expected to work hand in hand with the PNP, the
BTAC in particular, with the Integrated Transformation Program of the
Philippine National Police by means of the Performance Governance System or
PATROL Plan 2030.
