Different organizations joined Aklan Brigada Eskwela's first day

Various organizations in Aklan have joined together for the opening of the yearly Brigada Eskwela yesterday.

This is in line with the annual cleanup being conducted at schools in the province as preparation for the class opening in June.

According to DepEd Education Program Supervisor Mary Ann Salazar, a kick off ceremony was held yesterday and was started with a parade in Kalibo which was joined by the Philippine Army, Philippine National Police (PNP, private sectors, teachers and parents.

Salazar added, after the ceremony the mentioned groups worked alongside in cleaning, painting, and repairing armchairs and the classrooms.

Meanwhile, Aklan Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Jesse M. Gomez goes around visiting campuses in the province to see what preparations have been done.

This year’s Brigada Eskwela, which will last for a week, has a theme “Ensuring disaster preparedness and Safety in Schools.
