The
Municipal Council of Malay is now looking into a plan of purchasing 1 fire
truck unit for Malay.
On
a committee report during the SB session Tuesday, Malay Mayor John Yap requests
the Committee on Budget and Appropriation to set aside a 3, 229,424.20 peso
fund for the fire truck.
The
said amount will be obtained from the trust fund under the Municipal Disaster
& Risk Reduction Management Fund.
Mainland
Malay has no fire truck until now, thus the Mayor is looking forward to this
plan for the better of his constituents.
The
council agrees on the plan, this however needs a looking into to ensure its
outcome.
Previously
a fire incident occurred at Brgy. Nabaoy and the fire truck unit of Trans Air
in Caticlan Airport was called to help.
The
Mayor’s request was set in the calendar for final and second reading on the
next SB Session.
