The Malay Auxiliary Police (MAP) will be tackling the problem involving drunken commissioners.

According to MAP Deputy Chief Rodito Absalon Sr., they have been receiving complaints regarding the improper dealings of a number of commissioners.

And one of those complaints was raised to them by Boracay residents themselves and it involves few commissioners who are still making transactions despite being drunk.

It would indeed be discomforting if they deal with tourists while they under the influence of or smelling like alcohol.

Meanwhile, Absalon said that they continue to confiscate brochures from the said commissioners, particularly those who are not accredited Tourist Guides by the Municipal Tourism Office (MTour) to prevent them from taking advantage of tourists.
