130 Applicant drift on the first day filing of COC in Malay

Almost 130 applicants have drifted on the First day filing of Certificate of Candidacy at the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in Malay.

According to Malay Comelec Election Officer II Elma Cahilig, this is for the preparation for the 2013 Barangay Elections.

Six aspirants have filed for the Barangay Captain for the island of Boracay while there are three for Caticlan.

Cahilig confirmed that two are going to compete for Barangay Manoc-manoc.

These are incumbent Brgy. Capt. Abram Sualog, and former Brgy. Capt. Joel Gelito.

Furthermore, Capt. Lilibeth Sacapaño will have no opponent in Barangay Balabag, while, Brgy. Capt. Hector Casidsid, former Barangay Capt. Anselmo Casidsid, and past Brgy.Councilor Menirva Sicoy will be competing.

Moreover for Caticlan,  Brgy. Capt. Juliet Aron, Incumbent Brgy. Councilor Virgie Reyes, and Ernesto Dela Torre were leading on the filing.
