Campaign on clean environment, reiterated by Balabag Brgy. Captain Lilibeth Sacapaño

Written by Gloria Villas

The cleanliness of Boracay was reiterated by Balabag Brgy. Captain Lilibeth Sacapaño.

This was allegedly related to their more strict enforcement on proper waste segregation.

According to the Brgy. Captain, the cleanliness of the surroundings is one of the things Boracay can be proud of which can be the reason that tourists will continue to visit.

Sacapaño admitted that it will be appalling for tourists if they visit and they arrive at a filthy Boracay.

Meanwhile, one of the things currently being looked after is the regulation of the rapid building of houses just anywhere.

A related concern on this is the possibility that the said houses would not have sewer connection and therefore would need to be compelled to get a permit from the Municipality.

It is also being planned by Sacapaño to meet with every Village employee of the island in order to strengthen the campaign about garbage.
