3 candidates for Barangay Chairman of Malay, pronounced no contender

The victory of the three candidates for the position of Barangay Chairman on the upcoming election was assured as it was pronounced that the three have no contender.

It is after the conducted filing of (COC) or the certificate of candidacy this week wherein more of them have no opponent.

According to Malay Comelec Election Officer II Elma Cahilig, there are 7 villages in the town of Malay but only 1 has filed a COC.

This includes Barangay Cubay Norte, Cubay |Sur, Dumlog, Motag, Naasog, Napaan and Sambiray.

It was confirmed that there are 5 participants for the Barangay Yapak wherein they have been considered having the largest number of aspirants.

While there are 2 for Brgy. Balabag, as well as 2 for Barangay Manoc-manoc.

Hence, Cahilig said that the voters must vote wisely and select the right person for the position to lead, for the reason that it is the basic unit of the society where as everything will begin.
