1st week of school in Boracay, generally peaceful

It has been 5 days since the opening of classes, and the problem free environment among students, parents and teachers’ are noticeable.

In fact, according to Boracay Tourist Assistance Center or BTAC PNP Chief, Police Senior Inspector Joeffer Cabural, the first day of school in the island is generally peaceful.

The BTAC office haven’t received any complaints or recorded any incidents related to the class opening.

Cabural added that they are continuously working on “Oplan Balik Eskwela” wherein the force consistently monitors the schools in Boracay, as well as its surroundings.

The same was described in the opening of classes 2013 by the Philippine National Police on the national level.

This however excludes the few situations occurring inside the schools such as the on-going enrollment in some parts of the country.
