WARNING GIVEN tO AKLANONS bY AKLAN PROVINCIAL PESO REGARDING UNLICENSED BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS aND RECRUITMENT AGENCIES

Job applicants are being cautioned about illegal recruiters and unlicensed business establishments and recruitment agencies.
According to a press release from the Aklan Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager, Vivian Ruiz Solano, as a member of the Aklan Provincial Anti-Illegal Recruitment (AIR) Task Force, it is PESO’s responsibility to safeguard the welfare of Aklanons against opportunistic employers who pretend to give good jobs to job applicants.
Furthermore, Aklan Provincial PESO was also instructed to give information regarding job vacancies.
This includes giving information to radio, television and print media.
In connection to the aforementioned, the Aklan Provincial PESO appealed to the Media that before giving or airing information on hiring and job vacancies, it should be made sure that the matter had passed through the Aklan Provincial PESO Office.
In addition, job applicants to consultancy firms and for oversees hiring are given extra caution.

The Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) had earlier advised the public to be cautious of immigration consultants and travel agencies which aside from offering packages, also promise employment to those who would migrate to other countries.
